Live to Ride for Charity

  • Chapter Social Event

H.O.G. Zambezi Chapter made a huge impact this year with their charity drive.  Assistance to impoverished school children and families, during this year children were fed a meal at school daily with R50 000 contributed.

Epileptic Centre in Dullstroom

A massive donation of R54 000 made to the Epileptic Centre in Dullstroom with funds raised from members at their annual Rally of Legends.

A raffle ticket for a motorcycle made entirely of beads, as well as an auction for two Bles bokkies and the Zambezi Chapter’s famous kiddies push bikes helped to raise additional funds for the charity of their choice.  The push bikes even came with a lifetime free service plan, which I am sure helped to push the prices through the roof.  The bidding was done in good spirit and the bikes kept being returned for re-auction.

Zambezi members were hugely generous in their support - a huge thank you to each and every individual who made this miracle possible.

Knysna Fire Project

The Knysna Fire Project was supported with contributions and the delivery of truckloads of clothing, toys and kitchen appliances to assist the disaster struck population in the area.

Kameeldrift Primary School

The chapter support 250 school children throughout the year with warm school jackets, school shoes, socks and blankets to keep warm during the cold winter months.  Second hand clothes, bedding and additional food was delivered during the year.

The annual Charity Drop to Kameeldrift Primary School took place the first weekend of December. Food parcels were packed by by H.O.G. Zambezi Chapter members and toys were collected at the Toy Run. 300 families received with food parcels and toys, delivered by Santa Claus and his not-so-little elves - to the excitement of the children and parents.  Christmas is a perfect time to bring cheer and good will to many, it is a reminder of how fortunate we are.

Being able to help families is an incredibly humbling experience; with the help of every member to make the lives of families just a little better over the festive season would otherwise not have been possible.
